GRAANLAND CNC & PRECISION ENGINEERING
CNC quality, tolerances and inspection
The CNC programmer inspects and signs off the work. Our focus is the critical dimensions, fits and finish your component needs to function as intended.
Machined features and measuring tools
Identify the features that matter
Your enquiry should highlight critical dimensions, fits, threads, surface finishes and any geometric requirements. Include the drawing revision and material grade. Where requirements are unclear or conflict, they need to be resolved before manufacture.
How the work is checked
We use micrometers, telescopic gauges and vernier calipers according to the measurement requirement. Identify critical features and any recorded measurements or first-off approval needed when you enquire.
Match the tolerance to the job
CNC turning tolerances of ±0.02 mm can be considered for suitable features, subject to the material, geometry, workholding and drawing review. This is not a blanket tolerance guarantee for every operation or component.
Put documentation into the enquiry
Inspection reports and material certificates can be supplied when requested in advance and confirmed in the agreed scope. Specify the required format, material traceability and inspection requirements before material is ordered or manufacture begins.
Keep revisions clear
When a requirement changes, send the updated drawing and identify the revision. Agree changes to the scope, price or delivery before work continues on the revised requirement. This is especially important for repeat orders.
Define the acceptance requirements
Include the current drawing revision, material grade, critical fits, threads and finish in your enquiry. Additional processes and special inspection requirements may affect the quotation and lead time.
Send your drawing. Let’s discuss your deadline.
Include the material grade, quantity, required date and critical requirements with your enquiry.
